Obkio works with many companies (named partners in this article) to help other businesses (named customers in this article) monitor and troubleshoot network performance. When people reach out to us with the idea to use, refer, resell or distribute our solution, we first refer them to this page to help them understand what are the different options available and which one is best for them.
This is a very important question. Who will use the Obkio App on the daily basis?
Is it the employees of the partner company that will use the Obkio App to monitor and troubleshoot network performance? In this case, the partner is probably an MSP, service provider (such as a VoIP Provider) or an IT consulting firm. The MSP Partner section below is probably what you are looking for.
On the other hand, if it's the customer IT staff that is primarily using the Obkio App, the Referral Partner program is probably the best fit here.
This section is called MSP Partners but it refers to any partner that will use Obkio's solution to provide a service to the business' customers. It could be an MSP but also a service provider (such as a VoIP Provider) or an IT consulting firm.
The MSP Partners traditionally use Obkio to be more efficient, have better visibility and offer a better service to their customers. It's their ultimate tool to be more proactive and better support their customers. Some of them never tell their customers they are using the solution but others create a unique product or service to increase their recurring revenue and differentiate themselves from their competitors.
The MSP Partners always have access to the accounts because they are the ones using Obkio's App. Inside the app, we can set up a single organization (which is great when the customers are small) or dedicated organizations for larger customers. With the single organization setup, the MSP Partner can share access to some monitoring agents and network devices with the read-only user roles.
Special discounted subscription plans are available for our MSP Partners based on the volume and features required to fully support their customers. The MSP Partners can receive either one monthly invoice per organization or a single Consolidated Billing invoice at the begining of each month.
With the Referral Partner Program, partners earn a commission based on the monthly recurring invoices of the customers that they refer to Obkio. This is a perfect scenario for companies looking to increase their revenues by promoting Obkio’s services.
Deals can be registered automatically from marketing activities using special URLs or manually in collaboration with the Obkio sales team.
The commission percentage depends on the steps done by the partner to onboard the customers. It goes from setting up a meeting between the customer and the Obkio sales team up to the full onboarding of the customer. Partners with high technical skills that have good experience with Obkio will earn higher commission because they can go deeper into the customers' onboarding.
The customers will receive their own invoices. The partner doesn't have access to the customer organization in the Obkio App except if the customer has added the partner as a user. All the support is done by the support team at Obkio.
The majority of the use cases are covered with the MSP and the Referrals partners. In most cases, when people reach out to resell or distribute our solution, they fit into one of the two partner programs. We think that it's the best way to offer a great exprience to our users and customers.
