Network Device Settings
- What are the different device settings
What you are going to learn:
To access the device settings (or edit page), go to the network device detail page and then click the
Menu Icon at the top right then
Name: A name to identify the network device.
Hostname / IP: Hostname or IP Address of the network device.
Collector Agent: Which agent will take charge of the SNMP polling. We recommend to select the agent closest to the device.
Collector Frequency: The interval between two SNMP polling.
Location: String to detail the Location of this network device.
Contact Details: String to detail who is in charge of this network device. It could be an email, name or phone number.
Device Type: Network device type,
Wifi AP. If the device is not exactly one of the three, use
SNMP Version: SNMP Version to use when communicating with the device (
v3). Learn more on SNMP Configuration.
SNMP Community: SNMP Community to use when communicating with the device.
SNMP Security Level:
SNMP Security Name: Often referred to as the username.
SNMP Auth Protocol:
SNMP Auth Password: Auth Password
SNMP Privacy Protocol:
SNMP Privacy Password: Privacy or Encryption Password
SNMP Context Name: Context Name
SNMP Context ID: Context ID
SNMP Port: default
Force 32-bits counters: Force to use 32-bits counters over 64-bits counters. Learn more at Supported Devices.
Device Unreachability Severity: Default is
Error. Severity level of the
