Azure

Operated by Obkio

Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing service created by Microsoft for building, testing, deploying, and managing applications and services through Microsoft-managed data centers.

First announced in October 2008, under the codename "Project Red Dog", Azure was then released on February 1, 2010, as "Windows Azure" before being renamed "Microsoft Azure" on March 25th, 2014.

Microsoft Azure provides software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS) and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and supports many different programming languages, tools, and frameworks, including both Microsoft-specific and third-party software and systems. It is an ever-expanding set of cloud services that help organizations meet and solve business challenges with cloud computing solutions.

It offers users the freedom to build, manage, and deploy applications on a massive, global network using your favourite tools and frameworks.

Azure's Public Monitoring Agents

The Microsoft Azure Monitoring Agents are hosted and maintained by Obkio in the Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, which means that they can be deployed within seconds. There are presently 7 Microsoft Azure Monitoring Agents in 4 different countries.

These Monitoring Agents allow users to proactively monitor network performance between their standard Agents and Azure Monitoring Agents right to the Microsoft Azure platform, using tools they’re most familiar with. With complete and continuous visibility, users can easily identify the source and cause of a network issue based on the monitoring data with these Monitoring Agents.
