Released earlier last year, Obkio’s Public Monitoring Agents are an extension of our Network Performance Monitoring Agents, which are the network monitoring tools in our Network Performance Monitoring solution. This Monitoring Agent type is hosted and maintained by Obkio but operated by third parties.

The Monitoring Agents can be deployed within seconds and help users monitor network performance between their standard agents, located in a company’s headquarters, remote offices, home offices, or data centers, and Monitoring Agents located within a third party infrastructure.

Users can leverage these Monitoring Agents to monitor network performance metrics such as latency, jitter, packet loss and throughput from their service or cloud-based infrastructure.

Our list of Monitoring Agent providers is always growing! It currently includes some of the largest cloud providers around the world, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. You can find them all in our Monitoring Agents Directory.

The Medwave Optique and Obkio partnership actually started a while back. Obkio’s Network Performance Monitoring solution has even been featured on Medwave Optique’s page about solutions for Remote Work/Télétravail.

Medwave Optique currently uses Obkio’s network performance monitoring software to monitor their own network performance, as well as the network performance of all their customers who currently operate using a cloud-based infrastructure. Today we’re announcing that Medwave Optique has proudly become an Obkio partner and has installed an Obkio Monitoring Agent in Montreal, Quebec.
