App new release: v1.5
With our new blog started a few weeks ago, we will now write a few words when we release a new version of our App, both Mobile (available on App Store and Google Play) and Web (currently in Beta, available on request).
Today we are releasing version 1.5.0 of the App. The new release will be available on App Store within 48h, in a few minutes on Google Play and right now on the Web App.
Agent Status Changes
In the previous release, the status of the agent was based on the monitoring session status of that agent. So as soon as one session was yellow, the agent status changed to yellow and the status changed to red when 70% of the monitoring session were yellow or red.
Starting with this new release, the agent status is based on its connectivity to our cloud. The status is either green when the agent is online, red when the agent is offline or grey if the agent never successfully established a connection to the cloud (usually because it’s not yet installed).
With this change, a newly installed agent is green as soon as it has established a connection to the cloud, even if no monitoring sessions are configured. Introducing New Monitoring Session Status Colors
The status of a Monitoring Session is based on the maximum severity of the currently open network issues related to that session. There are 5 different status: OK, Info, Warning, Error and Critical. Previously, the status color yellow was used for Info and Warning and red was used for Error and Critical.
Starting with this new release, we are introducing new colors:
- OK: Green
- Info: Light Yellow
- Warning: Dark Yellow
- Error: Light Red
- Critical: Dark Red
With these changes, it will be easier for our users to differentiate between the issues on the Chord Diagram (home page) and the list of Monitoring Sessions. New Users Notification Settings
Starting with this release, new users will be created with the notification severity level of Error. This means that network issues labeled as Info or Warning based on the monitoring templates’ settings won’t trigger notifications (emails) to the user. The notification settings of existing users won’t be affected.
