The Status Overview bar helps you quickly assess your monitoring infrastructure's health and identify agents requiring investigation or maintenance.
The Agent Status reports whether or not the agent is successfully communicating with our cloud systems. In the application, there are three agent status.
When the agent is online and connected to the cloud systems, the status is Green.
When the agent is offline and not connected to the cloud systems, the status is Red. However, to be red, the status must have been green at least once. This means that a newly created agent will not be reported offline (red) until it was successfully online (green).
The Agent Status is Grey if the agent never successfully connected to the cloud systems or if it is under maintenance. For example, the Agent Status is set to Grey when:
- The Agent is not installed (see the Agent Installation Guides)
- The Agent is unable to connect to the cloud systems (see Firewall Configurations)
- The Agent Software Update is in progress
